If you preach in conversation with the RCL — say, you use it for Lent and Advent but veer off in the summer, or you use it a as a jumping-off point but tweak with it pretty freely — then this might be the best dashboard for you. Feel free to rearrange these blocks as you see fit, and delete the ones that aren’t helpful.

Deleting blocks from this page will not delete the database they reference — but if you’re worried, just duplicate this page before you start editing. That way, the original will still be there if you need to start over.

Here, you’ll find any projects where the type of work is “sermons” and the date is in the future. Add new pages here (using the “sermon” template) to plan your upcoming sermons and/or series.
Below, you’ll find any projects where the type of work is “Bible study” and the date is in the future. Add new pages here to write your Bible studies.
Since you don’t always use the lectionary, you’ll likely need to add new pericopes to that database. Go ahead! This is your database. For the best continued function and coherence of this tool, click the arrow below for a dropdown showing how I recommend you go about adding pericopes.

Note: the RCL database has a “projects” relationship property, which is most helpful for faithful lectionary preachers. If you aren’t confident you’ll come back to that dates’ lections with some consistency, I recommend just deleting that property from RCL, and only relating your sermons/projects to their specific pericope(s).
